booking of regd articles with late fee in MBCs.

The factility for booking of regd articles at mail office on payment of prescribed late fee is available with the intention to give benefit of immediate despatch of articles. mail business centres are distinct from rms mail offices. it is clarified that facility for booking of regd articles on payment of lalte fee will continue to be provided at the counters as usual,  if mail business centres are functioning in rms offices. the facility of retail booking of regd articles across the counter will not be provided where mail business centers function independently.

confirmation exam

confirmation exam for p.a./s.a. will be conducted on 2.11.2008 from 1000 hrs to 1300hrs.

for kurnool region -- exam centre -- kadapa

upgradation of hardware in speedpost centres

it is proposed to upgrade the existing hardware in speed post centres and  speed net. divisional heads are directed to intimate the funds/hardware requirement along with purpose and justification,speed post centre wise to r.o.kurnool by 13/10/08.

Volunteers called for from ASPs to work in directorate

willingness of ASPs having knowledge of vigilance matters and computer for posting in the dte for a period of 3 months is called for. applications thro proper channel.

LGO EXAMINATION ON 27-12-08

LGO exam will be conducted on 27-12-08. Last date for submission of applications by the candidates is 21-11-08

BONUS FOR 2007-08

Productivity linked bonus for 07-08 equiavalent of 60 days to the employees of dept of posts in gr d and gr c and non gaz group b  was sanctioned. ex gratia payment of bonus to gds who are regularly appointed after observing all appointment formalities and adhoc payment of bonus to casual laboureres who have been conferred temp status are also to be paid equivalent to allowances/wages respectively for 60 days for the same period. In case of drawal of salary exceeding rs 2500 in any month , the emoluments shall be restricted to rs 2500 per month for the purpose of calculation of bonus.
